HOTO Day 2024 Contests, Sweepstakes, and Giveaways Rules and Conditions


1. Eligibility:

This contest/sweepstakes/giveaway (the "Promotion") is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees of HOTO, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2. How to Enter:

To enter the Promotion on Instagram, participants must follow the specific entry instructions provided in the Promotion announcement. Instructions are as follows:

  • Follow us @HOTO_Official on Instagram
  • Like and Save HOTO Day Promotion post
  • Comment: share your thoughts on HOTO and tag a friend
  • Bonus entries: post why you love HOTO Tools, mention us @HOTO_Official, and tag #HOTOTools #HOTODay
  • Bonus entries: share this HOTO Day Post to your Instagram story and mention @HOTO_Official

All entries must be received by the end date specified in the Promotion announcement. Please note that this Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.

3. Entry Period:

The Sweepstakes begins at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on September 13, 2024, and ends at 7 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on September 27, 2024.

4. Winner Selection and Notification:

Thirty-eight (38) winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. The selection process will be conducted on or about September 29, 2024. Winners will be notified via the HOTO Official Instagram Account (@HOTO_Official) within 7 days after selection. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, an alternative winner may be selected.

5. Prizes:

There will be thirty-eight (38) winners. Three (3) winners will each receive a HOTO $100 E-Gift Card as the first prize. Five (5) winners will each receive a HOTO Air Pump, and five (5) winners will each receive a HOTO Electric Screwdriver Kit as the second prizes. Additionally, five (5) winners will each receive a HOTO Electric Precision Screwdriver as the third prize. Twenty (20) participants will each receive a $20 Amazon E-Gift Card as a participation prize.

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. HOTO reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.

6. Prize Claim:

Winners must claim their prize by responding to the notification message and providing the required information within 14 days of being notified. Required information may include, but is not limited to, full name, valid shipping address, and contact details. It is highly recommended that entrants confirm their account settings are set to “public.” If the winner fails to provide the necessary information or does not respond within the specified time, they forfeit the prize and an alternative winner may be chosen.

Prizes will be shipped to the winners at the address provided during the prize claim process. HOTO is not responsible for incorrect shipping information provided by the winner or for any loss, delay, or damage to the prizes during shipping. Any taxes, duties, or fees associated with the receipt and use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

7. General Conditions:

By participating in the Promotion, all entrants agree to abide by these Rules and Conditions and accept the decisions made by HOTO as final and binding. HOTO reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Rules and Conditions or engages in any behavior deemed inappropriate, fraudulent, or otherwise detrimental to the integrity of the Promotion.

HOTO may, at its discretion, cancel, suspend, or modify the Promotion if any factor beyond its control, such as technical issues or unauthorized human intervention, compromises the fairness or proper administration of the Promotion.

HOTO reserves the right to amend these Rules and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting.

8. Publicity:

By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to allow HOTO to use their names, likenesses, and entries for promotional purposes without further compensation unless prohibited by law. This may include, but is not limited to, featuring winners on HOTO’s website, social media channels, or marketing materials.

Winners may be asked to provide a photo of themselves with their prize for HOTO’s promotional use. While this is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

9. Liability:

HOTO is not responsible for any technical issues, human errors, or other factors that may affect the entry process, the proper functioning of the Promotion, or the acceptance of entries. This includes but is not limited to malfunctions of social media platforms, network issues, or errors in data transmission.

Entrants, by participating, agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless HOTO, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, officers, and directors from any claims, losses, damages, injuries, or liabilities of any kind resulting from participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize awarded.

10. Instagram Disclaimer:

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. Participants understand that they are providing their information to HOTO and not to Instagram. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Promotion should be directed to HOTO and not to Instagram.

11. Privacy:

Personal information collected from entrants will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Promotion and verifying winners. Personal information will only be collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with HOTO’s Privacy Policy and as required by law for the purpose of prize fulfillment. HOTO will take reasonable precautions to protect the confidentiality and security of this information, but entrants acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with any data transmission.

HOTO will not share personal information with third parties except as necessary for the fulfillment of prizes or as required by law. By participating in the Promotion, entrants consent to the collection and use of their personal information for these purposes.
