(HOTO 5 in 1 Multitool Pen Pocket Screwdriver without Cap, Gifts Gadgets for Men, Magnetic Precision Screwdriver Set, EDC Small Screwdriver Set for Eyeglasses & Electronics in Cinnabar Red / $15 at the time of the review)
Gonna go over the good points first. The colors they offer are great. I chose Red (actually Orange) because I wanted to be able to find it quickly in a drawer filled with other tools. But both the Black and Silver were very nice. When you slide off the end of the tool, it reveals a storage area for 2 bits. The magnet that hold them in place is weak but, it does the job fine because theyre sitting securely inside the tool. The magnet that holds a bit at the top of the tool for use is a bit stronger. For the type of repairs youd be doing with this, the bit wont be coming out during use. The screwdriver bits work great for smaller screws like those found on glasses, inside cell phones and in smaller electronics. The tips are fairly durable and the tool feels good in the hand during use.
The Eternal Pencil tip is just ok. When it does write, its extremely light. Think of 4-5 shades lighter than a No.2 pencil. And it only works on paper. It doesnt write on cardboard, greeting cards, etc. And making it a bit worse, it doesnt write consistently on different types of paper. So you may get a legible note on a standard piece of white copy paper. And then it may barely leave a legible impression on a Post-It note. But this isnt the fault of Hoto. Its more of a limitation of Eternal Pencils in general. So that feature is more of a novelty.
In total, you get the Eternal Pencil tip, 3 Philips bits and a single Flathead. Instead, they should have given a single Philips bit and replaced the others with a commonly used Torx bit, Pentalobe and Y-Head. The type of person to carry this tool most likely already has their own set of precision screwdrivers. So this would be something they would keep as a travel tool or in their pocket for random quick uses. Overall, the quality is fairly good and I do like it. But its a bit high-priced for it its limited offerings.
