In this edition, we uncovered even more deep insights from how users truly interact with their tools in everyday life.
From using a rotary tool to evenly shake paint cans, to creating a brush head positioner for the Scrubber, to smarter storage systems for daily organization, we’ve seen how users are extending the experience of HOTO Tools through 3D printing.
These creations not only make the tools easier and more enjoyable to use, but also reveal new possibilities hidden inside real-world usage scenarios. HOTO will continue learning from these community-driven ideas and use them to improve future products and experiences.
Now, let’s take a closer look at this edition’s featured creations.
SNAPBLOQ Mount for Skadis + Lock Pin by pixelwave
IKEA’s Skadis pegboard is widely used for tool organization, but standard mounts can sometimes loosen over time with repeated use.

pixelwave cleverly introduced a lock pin mechanism that makes one-handed tool access both safer and more secure. It’s a subtle but extremely thoughtful improvement that greatly enhances the overall experience.

A smart and practical design that transforms a simple mount into something far more reliable.
Rotary Tool Paint Shaker by Wofeiworengxing
The high-speed rotation of the rotary tool has been creatively repurposed into a paint shaker for spray cans.

For model makers, properly mixed paint can significantly improve spray results, making this a genuinely clever and useful application.
Of course, safety always comes first:
Make sure the chuck is tightened securely, operate at lower speeds, and ensure the spray can is firmly mounted during use.

Wofeiworengxing’s design stands out not only because of the idea itself, but because of how well-executed and practical the accessory is. It’s a great example of how the community continues to discover new ways to expand what tools can do.
Grip Scrubber Brush Head Positioner by sky2024
The HOTO Scrubber series features detachable brush heads, but sky2024 noticed that after swapping heads, it was difficult to perfectly center them again — causing noticeable wobble during use.
To solve this, they designed a Brush Head Positioner that helps align the brush head more accurately, resulting in a smoother and more stable cleaning experience with the HOTO Grip Scrubber.

This is a perfect example of how small frustrations in everyday use can inspire thoughtful solutions. Sometimes, a simple accessory can make a surprisingly big difference.
We’re also taking inspiration from ideas like this to improve future product designs and create even better user experiences.
SNAPBLOQ Docking Station by JAM3D | Joel Macário
This project gained a lot of attention on social media, with many users asking where they could download the model files.
This custom docking station is designed to keep the HOTO SNAPBLOQ kit organized and always ready for action. It holds all three tools — the screwdriver, drill, and rotary tool — vertically for quick and easy access.

A removable tray keeps screws and bits within reach while working, while the slim drawer adds extra storage for accessories. The integrated charging dock also keeps everything powered up and ready for the next project.
This design truly gives SNAPBLOQ a “home.” It not only improves organization, but also makes the entire workspace feel cleaner, more complete, and more professional. An incredibly well-thought-out creation.
Gridfinity: HOTO Autocare Vacuum by MuchaLabs
This Gridfinity storage solution carefully accommodates nearly every component of the HOTO AutoCare Vacuum — even the carrying pouch has its own dedicated space.
Every cutout is clean and precise, the edges are beautifully finished, and the model prints without supports, making it both material-efficient and highly practical.

The upper layer is designed around frequently used accessories, creating a layout that feels intuitive and efficient during everyday use.
The HOTO AutoCare Vacuum helps keep your desk clean — and this design takes that same sense of organization into your drawers and storage systems.
A fantastic example of functionality, printability, and clean design all coming together.
