How It All Started
HOTO was founded in 2016 with the ambition to reinvent the essential tools we use daily. In 2018, we launched our first creation, a precision screwdriver set, with great success, selling 2.1 million units.
Year on year, we strive to developed industry-first, award-winning technology and design that redefined modern tool.

The recipient of more than one hundred design awards,including the IF Design Award, IDEA, and the Red Dot Design Award, Lidan Liu founded HOTO technology in 2016, where she serves as CEO.
She has been selected as Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ Asia-Pacific Class of 2024. Additionally, she is a respected juror for numerous design competitions, such as the German Braun Prize and the German iF Design Award.
